Why Visit Sariska National Park?

Sariska National Park is more than just a tiger reserve. Spread across 800 sq. km., this protected area boasts a rich biodiversity of leopards, hyenas, wild boars, sambar deer, and over 200 species of birds, including peacocks, Indian hornbills, and crested serpent eagles. What makes Sariska exceptional is its blend of wildlife and heritage, with ancient ruins like Kankwari Fort and the mysterious Bhangarh Fort located on park boundaries. For those seeking close encounters with wildlife, Sariska’s jeep safaris offer opportunities to spot tigers in their natural habitat. Birdwatchers will be enchanted by the rich avian life, especially during the migratory season. The park’s picturesque terrain of dry deciduous forests, rocky hills, and grasslands adds to the charm of every safari.

Best Time to Visit Sariska

The ideal time to explore Sariska is during the cooler months from October to March, when the weather is pleasant and wildlife & migratory bird sightings are frequent, especially near water bodies. This period is perfect for safaris, photography, and exploring historic sites. Temperatures soar from April to June, but this season is best for Royal Bengal Tiger sightings as animals frequent waterholes. Safaris are exciting, though you must prepare for the intense heat with appropriate clothing and hydration. Sariska remains closed from July to September due to the monsoon. The park reopens after the monsoon, rejuvenated by lush greenery, but safaris resume only in October.
