Your Ultimate Guide to Sariska Safari and Easy Safari Booking
Sariska National Park, nestled in the Aravalli hills of Rajasthan, is a wildlife enthusiast’s dream. With its rich flora and fauna, including the elusive Bengal tiger, Sariska offers an unforgettable safari experience. Whether you are a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveller, this guide will walk you through everything you need to know about Sariska Safari, from the types of safaris available to the booking process and the best times to visit.
Types & Gates of Sariska National Park Safari
Sariska National Park offers two primary entrances: Sariska Gate and Tehla Gate. Sariska Gate is the more popular entry, often with higher chances for wildlife sightings, while Tehla Gate provides access to Zone 4, offering a quieter, less-crowded experience. Safaris are available from October to March and are closed on Wednesdays. Utsav Camp Sariska arranges safari bookings for guests as part of their stay, ensuring a convenient way to experience the park’s diverse wildlife and scenic terrain.
Jeep Safari
The Jeep Safari at Sariska National Park offers a more personal and flexible wildlife experience, especially suited for smaller groups and families. With its 6-seater open design, the jeep navigates through narrower trails and rugged terrain, increasing the chances of close encounters with Bengal tigers, leopards, and other wildlife. For larger groups, the park also provides a Canter Safari option, which seats more passengers but lacks the agility and intimacy of the jeep. Both options operate from Sariska and Tehla Gates and can be arranged directly through Utsav Camp Sariska during your stay booking.
Sariska Safari Timings
When visiting Sariska National Park for a safari, be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled entry time and carry a valid government ID for check-in. The park operates morning safaris starting at 6:00 AM (summer) or 7:00 AM (winter) and evening safaris at 3:00 PM (summer) or 2:00 PM (winter). Please note that the park is closed on Wednesdays and during the monsoon season from July to September. For further details, refer to the FAQ page.Tips for a Memorable Sariska Safari Experience
